Our Story
We’re three generations in and still thriving. Our family entered the construction industry back in the 1960s when Bobby Gioia founded J.F. Gioia Demolition in Cleveland, Ohio. Bobby’s nephew, Trip Morris, grew up in the business, spending his childhood working on construction sites and fixing equipment. In 1981, looking to branch out from the demolition business, Trip started Tri Mor to meet the growing demand for quality concrete paving contractors in Northeast Ohio.
In 2004, Trip’s daughter, Neille Vitale, who spent her weekends growing up driving to and inspecting construction sites with her Dad, joined the company. In 2019, after decades of growth and establishing Tri Mor as the premier concrete paving contractor in Northeast Ohio, Trip handed over leadership of the company to Neille.
Under Neille’s leadership, Tri Mor has evolved into a full-service road, site work, and utility contractor, specializing in both private and public road and infrastructure improvements.
1961
J.F. Gioia Demolition is formed by Bobby Gioia. John “Trip” Morris, Bobby’s nephew, starts working for the company at 14 years old.
1981
Tri Mor started by Trip to do small concrete driveway and sidewalk jobs.
1988
Bobby Gioia, Trip’s uncle, passes way and J.F. Gioia Demolition is closed. Trip turns his full attention to growing Tri Mor.
1988
Tri Mor Acquires its first slip form paver.
1994
Tri Mor acquires its first slip form curb machine.
1994
Tri Mor breaks ground on its Twinsburg, Ohio office.
1995
Tri Mor listed on Weatherhead 100 fastest growing companies in Northeast Ohio with sales growth of 120 percent over the previous 5-year period.
2005
Tri Mor listed as the 43rd largest concrete contractor in the United States by Concrete Contractor magazine.
2019
Neille Vitale, Trip’s daughter, becomes owner and CEO of Tri Mor.
2021
Tri-Mor becomes a certified National Women’s Business Enterprise.
2021
Tri-Mor fully automates slip form process by using stringless technology.
2021
Tri Mor completes 80,000 SY residential road replacement using “zero clearance” slip form paver leaving drive aprons undisturbed for the City of Strongsville.
2024
Tri-Mor recognized as a John Deere Gold Key Customer.
